Hello and HAPPY Friday! If you got the 4thof July off, I hope yo'u’re feeling rested and refreshed as you finish off the last day of the abbreviated work week.
I’m continuing to work on my publishing schedule and I’m thinking I’m going to swap back and forth between my Friday Fifteen and Friday’s Finds posts on upcoming Fridays.
This week I’m launching my first Friday’s Find write-up and playlist, with a look at The Voyd.
The Voyd
I stumbled across this northern England quartet while deep diving into a Spotify Daylist. Despite all of the Daylist shenanigans, some of the genres mentioned HAVE TO BE completely made up, I do find a lot of great listens. The Voyd became an immediate favorite when I pressed play on “Be There.”
The music is driving, durable power pop + punk rock drama and pace + agonized and emotive indie rock vocals. It’s my very own patented “one-two-three” punch that gets me diving deeper into a band’s discography.
They switch things up, rather than resting on their laurels. You won’t suffer from “heard that already” syndrome. Each of the five tracks I’m sharing today stands out on it’s own while also sliding seamlessly into a playlist listening session.
The band mostly releases singles, but they did put out an EP, Where We Called Home, this year. It was hard to distill how much I like The Voyd into a short playlist, but I hope my efforts turn a few of you into fans.

What do you think? Yea or Nay on The Voyd? Are my ears playing tricks on me? Am I the only one waiting expectantly for a full-length release?
