The Last NTMLL playlist of the year ...

It’s the last Friday of 2023. And with it, the last New To My Liked List playlist of the year. 2023. The year I FINALLY returned to music sharing beyond my husband and nephew. The nephew appreciates it. Less sure about the husband. LOL.

New To My Liked List

I’ve enjoyed curating new listens for these playlists over the last few months. Threads was the impetus.

It started with calls for submissions, and I may return to that format from time to time. It changed as I made it a goal to seek out new music each week, on my own, inspired by the posts and discussions found within the fantastic #MusicThreads community.

2024 Plans And Ideas

I’m a very structured and organized person when it comes to my digital work, hobbies, and passion projects. Less so when it comes to keeping the clutter in my house to a minimum, sadly. I’ve got notebooks, spreadsheets, and color coded lists dedicated to Two For Tuesday, Whatever Happened To Wednesdays, Threepeat Thursdays, and more.

I have more than fifty bands earmarked for starter lists. And I have BIG goals for adding to my already genre and decade hopping Spotify Liked Songs list.

This morning it sits at just over 6,000 songs. By the end of January 1, 2024, my last day off work, it should sit at 10K+.

New & New To Me Music

As eclectic, vast, and varied as my tastes are, I know there’s so much more that remains unheard, or, at least, unheard for a long time. And my goal is to seek it out, listen, and collect what suits my ear and mind.

I’m a collector at heart. Records (vinyl and CD). Books. Funko figures. Even people.

I’ll collect it, adding it to my ever growing liked list. And if it hits me in the EXTRA special way, I’ll buy it in an analog format.
