It’s Friday. It’s the last day of the work week, unless you’re like me and have looming deadlines, so you’ll be working over the weekend. Blechhhh. I’ve got new Release Radar tracks and albums to get me through the day and weekend. And it’s the day I share fifteen of the newest additions to my Spotify Liked Songs playlist.
A Change To My Friday Playlist Curation
This week, and going forward, I’m changing this weekly read and playlist share. Until today, I’ve only shared NEW releases, those released within weeks/at most a couple months from the publish date. But my eclectic, genre hopping, playlist isn’t only about new indie releases.
While I love giving a boost to newer, less heard artists, I also love to share and discuss the music I’ve loved throughout my nearly lifelong listening journey. I add hundreds of songs to my Liked Songs list each week. From old favorites to new (and new to me) listens.
I never know exactly where, or when, my music searches are going to take me. This week I dove into ‘20s blues and cowboy punk. It’s always an adventure!
This newsletter/blog is about the music I love. Why would I limit my enjoyment by sharing only what’s new and now. I think sharing and revealing the then is just as exciting and fun.

That was a lot of rambling to get to this point: the weekly New To My Liked List playlist is going to be whatever it will be, based on my deep dives and other listening journeys I take the week before. I hope you’ll let me know what you think!
Finally got round to listening to this. Particularly enjoyed the tracks from Mary Timony and Thick. Thanks, Mallie!
When I first heard of Hurray For The Riff Raff, I didn’t expect to like them, but that whole record is great.
