Hello. Happy Thursday. Has your week been as full of music as you liked?
I’ve been listening to a lot of music as I continue to do all the things you do when you’re looking for a new job. Music has been the soundtrack to me sprucing up my resume, my LinkedIn profile, my portfolio and more.
Where Do I Find New Listens
I mostly use Spotify for seeking and sourcing new listens. I check out my Release Radar on Fridays, and then my Discover Weekly on Mondays. I check out my Daylists several times a day. Once I find a new artist or band I like, I dig deeper into their curated radio station. I also follow several Indie Rock playlists that swap out new songs on a daily or weekly basis.
I also pay attention to release news shared by the #MusicThreads community on Threads.
Today’s New Listens, By Threes
This week we’re checking out Semihelix, She’s In Parties, and Chime School. All three have new singles or albums out now. And the songs in the playlist are all relatively recent (nothing earlier than 2022, I believe).
There’s plenty of jangle, some synth, a little bit of angst, some anger and some great rhythm. Now it’s up to you to decide if any of these artists deserve a spot within your own growing playlist or lists!

Well? What do you think? Any keepers? Anything worthy of a few more listens? I love to hear (well, actually see) what you think. Chime in with a comment!
Any band named “She’s in Parties” is gonna get my attention! This was new to me, but I’m digging the sound.
I'm a sucker for synths too! Those She's in Parties songs sound great.
