Hi there. If you're thinking it's been a while since I've published, you are correct. The last few weeks, honestly the bulk of April, left me wrong-footed. Between my ex-husband's death and prep for travel, promptly followed by the actual travel, and the resulting jet lag … yadda yadda. I haven’t really felt like myself for a while.
As always, though, music fueled any small spots of normalcy. And I’ve missed my Music Threads community, as well as the lovely interaction with music friends I’ve met here.
So I pulled up my big girl panties, and here I am, trying to get back in the groove!
And the three artists are …
Vistas: A Scottish (I know, SHOCKING) band, new to me, found through a deeper dive through a Spotify artist radio station. Can’t remember which artist at this time! The vibe is similar to The Vaccines.
Chloe Hawkes: This is raw and honest Americana, pop, punk and more all rolled into one.
Sebb Masters: What a voice! Mesmerizing. That’s what got me listening, as Sebb is cagey with the personal details.
This time around I don’t have a lot to offer beyond the music itself. I am leaving it to you to listen and like as you see fit. It may take me a day or two to get back into my more wordy musical meanderings.

There they are. Three artists, three songs each. This week’s “vibe” might be best described as “introspective.” My vibe AND the vibe of this week’s song selections. What say you?
Great to see you back, Mallie! Hope everything is going smoother for you now.
Nice to see you around again. Really digging Chloe Hawkes particularly. Reminescent of Gaslight Anthem in a lot of ways.
