Two For Tuesday: April 16, 2024
Five bands, two songs each... looking backward again this week
Hello. And happy Tuesday. I apologize for the dearth of posts over the last week. I used music for solace and soothing last week, rather than seeking out many new listens. I wasn’t really in the right headspace to wax rhapsodic about favorite listens new and old.
I listened to a lot of Simon and Garfunkel and Wrest last week. Softer, more soothing listens. And that worked well for me. I’m getting back into the listening and sharing space this week and hope to return to my regular post and sharing schedule over the next two weeks.
Two For Tuesday: Looking Back At Less-Listened Gems
Returning with a Two For Tuesday post seemed ideal. I’m looking backward again this week. Selecting some ‘80s deeper and less-listened cuts from some of my favorite albums of the decade. It’s a new wave heavy list, so if that’s not your cup of tea, look for something different as the week presses on.
I’m sharing some of my all-time favorite deeper cuts and selections from Tears For Fears, A Flock of Seagulls, The English Beat (The Beat for some of you), a-ha, and Erasure. Some of these were singles, but they didn’t hit the same level of popularity as some of the chart-topping tunes.

There you have it. A return to music sharing looking back in a Two For Tuesday way. Did I remind you of any past favorites? Dig deeper and share a song you weren’t already familiar with? Let me know, please! Your comments keep me seeking and sharing!
Love the playlist!! All of these are among my all-time favorite bands! Watch Me Bleed is one of my favorite Tear For Fears songs! ❤️
I realised recently just how abysmal my knowledge of 80s albums is. I really only know bands of that era through their hits (with the exception of REM, Depeche Mode and The Pet Shop Boys) so, despite being familiar with all of these bands, the songs are all new to me. Great listen. Thank you.
