Threads has quickly become my favorite social media spot. The music community is fantastic and growing by the day.
I’ve been introduced to so much fantastic music as I’ve interacted with new friends and other avid music seekers and listeners.
I’ve dedicated two publications per week to the new music that’s been shared with me on Threads. Tuesdays are of the Two For variety. Two songs from at least three bands or musicians I’ve been lucky enough to find.
Today’s lists launches with Paul Lawrence Music. When you hear the first licks of “Come Back” hit your ears, you’ll want to assume he’s a Texan based on the swamp boogie vibe. But Paul hails from the UK. No matter, the hard rocking vibe works no matter where he resides. “Back Home” is softer, slower, and sweeter, and another great addition to your listening list.
Robbie Turnbull was introduced to me by a Threads friend, 10down. A Canadian artist, Robbie’s style leans toward folk, with a lovely fluid appeal. He’s a true multi-instrumentalist, performing solo with a guitar, kick-drum, and tambourine. His vocals are sweet, yet powerful. The real draw is the fluid and fantastic guitar playing. “Again” returns the playlist to the swampy, boggy boogie vibe that Paul Lawrence launched it with.
Rounding out the playlist is Molly Starlite and the Sputniks. She suits the decidedly vintage vibe of the playlist today. “Dynamite” features plinking piano and the same boogie-woogie guitar that permeates the rest of the list. The standout is Molly’s vocal delivery. Tuneful, soulful, and a spot-on match for the music. She’s a chanteuse in the under-rated style of the ‘40s. You can easily imagine her on stage bolstering the troops. Check her out!

That’s it for this week. I hope you’ll let me know what catches your ear or your fancy. I’ll be back next week with at least six more new-to-me listens.
I'm really digging the groove on 'Come Back!'
