Two songs each from some very talented artists

Good morning. Happy Tuesday. Are you ready for some new listens?

This Week’s Artists

I’m diving right in this week!

Leading off with Andrew Montana. While I have already showcased him with a starter list, he’s just that good, incredibly prolific, and I want to get him as many listens and like list additions as possible. He’s tied with Brigitte Calls Me Baby as my 2023 favorite music find. Why?

For a relatively young man, his music has so much heart and depth. There’s history that belies his years. His vocals are strong, but not perfect. They’re often raw. They break and bend with each delivery. Listen for yourself. Do you hear what I hear?

Next up is Haiver. Is it even a surprise that I’m highlighting the efforts of former Frightened Rabbit Billy Kennedy? It shouldn’t be. I love the gentle intro and vocals on “So Slow.” I’m a sucker for Scottish singers, so I can’t wait to see what they come up . as the year progresses.

Rolling on, I’ve got two songs from The Avenues. This band from Hull released a new single this month and it seemed the perfect time to add them to the Two For Tuesday team. The tempo picks up with this four-piece, delivering indie rock-ish power pop goodness. Enjoy!

I’m throwing in new to me Langkamer, even though I’m not sharing their latest single. Self-described as a cross between Lynyrd Skynyrd and Pavement, I didn’t expect to like them as much as I do. Sometimes a band really surprises you.

And the playlist rounds out with Andie Mechanic. Lovely vocals that tell a story. Simple and lovely to start, the music swells and darkens. It’s atmospheric and moody in the best of ways. I think she’s going places!
