Hello and happy Tuesday. For those of us in the USA, it’s a holiday week. Well, it was also a holiday week in Canada. Not sure about the rest of you, but here’s hoping it’s a restful week for all!
It’s ridiculously hot and humid in the metro-Atlanta surroundings, and I’ve been battling fatigue and lack of creative gumption around a hectic work schedule. Music, sleep aids, and an understanding husband have helped me stay even slightly on track. You’re interested in the music, though, so let’s dive right into that!
Two For Tuesday
This week’s listens are mostly peppy, poppy, and punk rocky. They’re the kind of energetic listens you need when your work tasks are doing their best to leach all life from your soul.
I think my favorite couplet of the week comes from Cusp. What about you?

Did any of the five artists or ten songs strike a chord? Please let me know what you liked this week. I take that information and use it to fuel my future music discovery in the hope to find new listens that appeal to both you and me!
Another great playlist, Mallie. I dig Spangled and CUSP back to back with the Pulp then Oasis vibes. Girl Scout is cool, too -- they remind me a bit of The Beths channeling The Breeders.
5) Apollo Junction. Maybe its just the curse of them being last in the sequence, but they just didn't grab me.
4) Red Vox. Pleasant. I would listen to more of them, maybe just not as exciting as others
3) Spangled. "Little Tom" was tied for my overall single favorite track, love that riff. The other one was alright, but I had to ding them for name checking a Kanye album.
2) CUSP. These were both quite good. Kind of that old school Britpop sort of flair, catchy songs with big dramatic choruses.
1) Girl Scout
Yes!!!!!!! Love the 90s "grunge lite" revival thing going on. The first track is a sort of ironic nostalgia that tickles my Gen X nerve. "I Just Needed You To Know" was my other overall favorite; like if Sonic Youth said "let's try not to be weird for the next 4:35"
