Two Songs Each From Five Artists, New & Newly Found

Happy Tuesday, readers! Fingers crossed no website woes or ANYTHING else delays today’s publish. Because it’s Tuesday. And Tuesdays are for two-fors!

This week I’m sharing four new-to-me artists, and two deeper cuts from a family favorite (at least in the Hart household).

No reason not to dive right in.

Two Songs Each

Today’s playlists launches with Annie Taylor, a British band making waves with their “cool guitar” sound. Made up of four friends, you can hear and feel how much fun they’re having when they play.

Next up, Wallows. “Your Apartment” is the song that grabbed my attention. But a deeper dive into their 2022 release, Tell Me That It’s Over, cemented my appreciation.

Sliding into the third spot, we’ve got the solo work of Adrianne Lenker, best known for fronting Big Thief. I love these more sparse and spare arrangements and I hope you will too.

It’s time now for for a deeper dive into a well-known and well-loved name in the music game. Whether or not you’re a Neil Diamond fan, there’s no doubt that he’s a prolific and talented songwriter and stage presence.

I saved the best for last. Weston Loney. WOW! This former busker is a powerhouse talent. I dare you not to be impressed by the driving power of “Red Diesel.” I very much care about following this impressive Irish lad as he furthers his music journey.
