Greetings, good morning, etc. It’s Wednesday. HOORAY! It’s the last day of my work week after far too many 70-80 hour slogs over the last month. I’m going to listen to SO MUCH music. And not look at ANYTHING work related. For FOUR DAYS.
But that’s not what we’re here for!
What I’ve Been Listening To This Week!
Despite my work load, I did a lot of music listening and searching over the last week. And I found some wonderful new listens. They’re new to me, but I don’t know if they’ll be new to you. Let’s find out!
Note: These are new-to-me finds, so I’m not going to offer up a lot of analysis. I’m going to leave that to you as avid and eager listeners.
Harmony Woods
I actually stumbled upon her two weeks ago, but I did a deeper dive this week and added three more songs to my liked list. Ethereal, but powerful is the short description.
Phony
This young man has been through a lot, and it shows in his songs. Moody but melodic with a lot of fuzz. Keeping him on my radar for future releases.
Cheerbleederz
Wow! Angry, but somehow sweet at the same time. I came across their 2022 release and promptly added eight of the ten tracks to my liked list. This week I took a deeper dive into their discography and was thrilled to find more gems!
Wrest
And we’ve come to my favorite find of the week. You already know I’ve got a special soft spot and fondness for Scottish indie, and Wrest slot in perfectly. Over the last week (actually over the last four days), I’ve added twenty-one songs to my Liked list and made sure I’m on every mailing list and will receive every notification possible. They are THAT good.

What did you think? Will you wander to any of these artists and add a few new tracks to your playlists? Or will you wander on by? Either way, I’d love to know!
Oh my goodness! This is such a great playlist, Mallie. I love it! “Little Star” is giving huge “Many of Horror” vibes and all those Wrest tracks kind of remind me of if Biffy Clyro had made the most recent Amazons album. Loving Cheerbleederz sound, and Phony. I will be keeping an eye on them both.
