I'm not really familiar with this song but I like what Rosie Thomas does with it. Sweet vocal.

She does a great job. I'm partial to the original, but it won't surprise you that I don't include any versions that I don't enjoy!

Welcome back! It's great to see this series return.

Hard to top the original, but the Rockabye Baby! cover was probably my next favorite of the lot. I expected DCFC's version to take second, but Ben Gibbard's voice is not built for a Bjork cover.

There aren't many who can rival Bjork for Bjorking the vocal delivery!

Happy to be back, Kevin!

I always love this feature. Great to have it back. I wasn’t partial to this track though. I found it quite hard to stay focused on the different versions to compare them. I think my favourite was the Rosie Thomas cover.

(Ps. Don’t forget my “Be My Baby” request - excited to see what you might pair up with the Glasvegas and We Are Scientists covers)

Not forgotten! I have a list. I’ll make sure to get that one in soon!

So who's the musician that listens to a Bjork tune that's trippy even for Bjork standards and says: "Yea, lets do that." 😜

To the countdown:

5) Rockabye Baby:

I have an irrational dislike of vibes and xylophones and the like. This is probably electronic but they sound like the plinking family of instruments. My apologies to jazz great Milt Jackson.

Score: 0 Bjorks

4) Matthew / Martyna / Giannis

A lot like #5 but with singing. I'm guessing its Martyna Sowinska doing the vocals ? She has a nice enough voice but not projecting a lot.

Music: .37 Bjorks

Vocals: .10 Bjorks

Overall: ((Music × 2) + Vocals) / 3 = .28 Bjorks

3) Death Cab.

I really really like their musical arrangement. There's some nice drum "spazzing" (thats a technical term) towards the end. Its faithful to the spirit of Bjork but also true to DC's style.

Music : .85 Bjorks

As the distinguished gentlemen from Madison pointed out above, Mr Gibbard's voice just doesn't have much Bjork.

Vocals: .29 Bjorks

Overall score: ((Music* 2)+ Vocals ) / 3 = .663 Bjorks

2) Rosie Thomas.

This is absolutely flippin fantastic. Its very faithful to the spirit and vibe of the original, while still being distinctive.

Music: .91 Bjorks

Vocally, Ms Thomas can pull around .55 Bjorks. Honestly unless you're literally birthed by Viking spirits from an underground hot spring, I dont know if anyone can get much closer.

Overall: ((.91 * 2) + .55. / 3) = .79 Bjorks

1) Bjork

Its a lullabye. Its an affirmation. Its a mantra. Its Everything Zen. Its The Singularity. Its Bjork.

Not all Bjork tracks score a perfect 1.0 Bjorks. This one does.
