"Have we chosen wisely? Will we choose wisely? "

I'd like to think we do, but someone will invariably come along to loudly try and correct us. lol.

I'll run my AOTY lists next month, but save room in January for anything I either missed or that came out in mid-to-late December. As Lou alluded to earlier, it feels like there is always something that comes out right at the last minute that upends everything.

@Lou Tilsley keeps me on my toes and keeps me honest. She’s a good person to have in the comments section!

First off, congratulations on the Substack milestones! Its been fun following along, and looking forward to what comes next.

My most sincere hope for 2025 is that I'll be focused a lot more on reading and thinking about music and a lot less on election coverage.

I dont know how you folks do these Top 50 / Top 100 lists. Its hard enough for me to pick among 5 versions of the same song :)

I’m not really sure how I’m going to accomplish it, but I’m putting in the effort, nonetheless.

And I think many of us are looking forward to viewing the election in our rearview mirrors. It’s going to be quite a week.

I already have a provisional top ten unless something exciting appears to throw a spanner in the works. If I was compiling a top 20, I think The Vaccines and Orville Peck would both be in it. I love both those albums but this year has been brilliant for new releases.

In an infrequent example of our tastes not being in sync I have to say the Charly Bliss will definitely be in my top ten. I can’t get enough of it!

Congratulations on 150 posts. I look forward to the next 150.

I'll look forward to your Top 10 Reveal, Lou.

I was really sad that the new Charly Bliss didn't grab me like their past albums, but sometimes that happens. I'm glad that you're enjoying it!

I look forward to seeing your list! I will begin my annual countdown of my Top Ten songs of 2024 beginning on December 23rd and posting one a day until Jan. 1. May do a Top Ten albums list just before that.

Sarah Kinsley just came into my life, and I'm a better man for it. EELS by Being Dead is superb.
