Songs To Belt Out In The Car
Threads Music Challenges Are A Great Way To Find And Share New Music
Hi there. Yeah, I’ve been silent for a few weeks. I apologize. I was recently unjobbed. Two weeks ago. I’m fine. I was planning on quitting, but I sadly didn’t get to do so.
It’s affording me many opportunities. Including getting back on track with this publication. This is a more good than bad situation, I promise!
Back to the main topic of the post …
Threads Music Challenges
Threads is one of my favorite places to hang out online. The #MusicThreads community is incredible. There are several other hashtags that are fun to follow, including #VinylThreads, but the larger music loving community is my favorite.
Challenges abound on the platform. I’ve taken part in many. I even launch my own. I’m currently running a “Favorite Voices” Challenge, where participants share their favorite vocalists and the songs that showcase those voices.
I just finished a fun challenge, “20 Songs To Belt In The Car.” It was so much fun. You get reminded of past favorites. You come across new-to-you listens. And sometimes you find a fantastic artist for a deeper dive and appreciation.
I thought it would be fun to share the twenty songs I chose to share as part of the challenge.

Do you belt any of the songs I share when they pop up for a listen? In the car? In your office? What song would top your list if it’s not already shared here.
Thanks for sticking with me. I apologize for the lack or presence. Look for a return to Multiple Versions Monday tomorrow!
Hi Mallie. Great to have you back! Some fab picks in your list. The Gaffa Tape Sandy album is one of my favourites of the year so far. I love Document but I’d actually forgotten Strange existed as a song so thank you for making me revisit that one.
There is nothing I like better than belting out a song in the car. My top picks would be Human Resources by We Are Scientists, OK by Black Honey, Don’t Look Back Into The Sun by The Libertines, Get On The Roof by Pet Needs, Checking Out by Divorce and Gloria by Laura Brannigan. So many candidates though!
Welcome back! Looking forward to listening to this playlist and all your future ones!
