Thanks for stopping by and checking it out, Gabbie. I found several new listens through your posts last year, so I'm happy to share a few new listens with you. Do let me know if anything pleases your ears!
I tried hard to expand my music horizons last year and plan to continue to do so in 2025. I have some serious goals. I'll start sharing some of them once the New Year settles in a bit!
I hope you love New Year Memorial and any other listens my lists prompted, Steve! Let me know if anything makes its way onto your repeat listen playlists!
It bums me out that I didn't find them until it was too late to see them in concert. Oh well. Thanks for always showing up in my comments, Kevin. It means the world to me!
Yes! That’s the one! Hold My Hand, God Damn It is also one of my favourite albums of the year. So much energy and lots of contrast which I love. I saw them tour the album in September and I’m seeing them again in January supporting Destroy Boys. Very excited for that.
The albums on this list that I know, I really like. Especially Stampede which is an incredible record and fills me with so much joy every time I listen. There’s a lot here I haven’t heard at all so it looks like I’ve got some homework to do! Think I might start with Lauren Mayberry.
Really enjoyed Joe P yesterday btw!
In case you are interested, I made a playlist featuring one song from each of my 40 favourite albums this year. We have a small amount of overlap, but not much. So much good music being made right now!
I've seen Japandroids show up on a few lists. It didn't click with me on first listen, but I guess I need to go back and try again.
That Wild Pink album is great. I've been a fan for a while now. Maybe your love for Dulling the Horns will help you unlock the rest of the band's catalog.
I'm going to dig into the Wild Pink discography this week, Justin. But I won't be disappointed if I don't dig the earlier stuff. Maybe this album was meant for my ears and the others weren't.
so much here I haven't even listened to! just more proof how impossible it is to get through everything

i love the diverse selection represented here, Mallie! i haven’t heard any of these albums yet, but Japandroids is on my list to listen to next month.
I hope you enjoy it very much, Tay!

Let me know what you think of Fate & Alcohol!
I have never heard of New Year Memorial. I'll go check them out now.
To be fair, there is A LOT on your list that I haven't heard so I have a lot of catching up to do.
Also, that Japandroids record was on my list as well. Great album.

Japandroids forever!

Oh! Should also mention how great the PomPom Squad album is! Again, I’m really surprised more people aren’t talking about it!

Happy New Year, Mallie! And thanks for a really fun countdown.
I pretty much knew it was GTS once you gave me the final hints. I'm so glad that my lists reflected yours on so many occasions, Lou.
I hope we both introduce the other to many stellar new listens in 2025.
Thanks, AGAIN, for being my most constent and thorough commenters. It makes my day every time I see a notification with your name!
P.S. I'm so glad you liked Joe P. Do let me know what you think about any of the other listens I shared today!
