Unwed Sailor won the day for me. It's like if The Smiths got tired of Morrissey's bullshit and reformed as an instrumentals band. I ended up spinning through the whole album and ordered the vinyl because of course I would.

I'm really digging Unwed Sailor, too. I led an all-instrumental band for a few years and still write them for my current band. So many rock/pop instrumental bands end up sounding like Explosions In The Sky or soundtrack/background music and I really dig the ones who don't. Thanks for the heads up, Mallie!

Thrilled to do so, Dave!

Yes. I am not much of a fan of instrumentals usually but I really enjoyed both of these tracks.

Really enjoyed the Brownbear tracks. I’ve added them to my list. Thank you.

Very happy to see you feature The Howlers. Cowboys Don’t Cry is one of the standout tracks of the year so far for me. It’s such a great album overall and they are absolutely lovely people. It’s great to see them have a bit of success. The record was also produced by Chris and Tommy from Black Honey, one of my all time favourite bands, so it’s dear to me in a lot of ways.

I'm pretty particular about instrumentals, too, Lou. But these all pass the test!
