Random Quick takes as I listen through

Jack R. Ryder --- I really like him as a vocalist, a lot of emotional range. I'd be interested to hear him do an acoustic set.

Crystal Tides --- Detonate was really good; classic young adult "what the hell am I doing? " vibes

SOAPBOX -- I really liked The Fear. It was more metallic thrash than Fascist Bob which was straight up punk. Interesting combo.

Chime School - classic 90s "alternative" vibe on Wandering Song. This could be on the soundtrack of a movie about a young guy who works as a contractor so he travels to a new city every few months. Then one day the adorable but clumsy girl spills her Pumpkin Spice Latte on his laptop . . .

Crystal Tides would be on that soundtrack too for the middle part when he thinks he blew it with Pumpkin Spice after the drunk texting incident.

Re: collecting. Every streaming app gives you a 'My Library' space for exactly that reason.

No lies told here! I’m always glad when you find something worthwhile in one of my lists.

As for the collecting, you get it. I’m not sure a lot of folks appreciate and use streaming services like the crew here does.

I love what I've heard of SOAPBOX. "Yer Dad" is fantastic! Will check out the rest later!

You did share Chime School at the end of August on your new releases Friday playlist but a different track - and they are all great so that seems like a win. I think I said so at the time but they really remind me of REM.

I knew if anyone could answer that question is was you, Lou. Okay, a Friday share is fine. I just hoped I didn’t double up on a Two For Tuesday share!

I thought the same about Chime School -- very much in that 90s jangly " alternative" spirit (which REM were arguably the kings of)

No argument from me there!
