Oh my GOD I randomly clicked the last one and it's unlocked a childhood memory SO HARD. But I don't know why? I only now can really appreciate the lyrics because back then I was too young to understand English well enough. Why do I know this?? Epic song regardless haha
Great list! Any list with New Order on it is all right by me. 'Crying Like A Church On Monday' by The New Radicals is also a good one, though maybe a bit too ballad-y for this mix.
I had fifteen songs, but then knew I had to add the Boomtown Rats. I probably could have gone up to twenty songs, but I try to stay shorter and sweeter!
Possibly the best idea for a playlist ever. Gonna through out Monday by Wilco, which is ironically upbeat. Great song by Lankum too called On a Monday Morning - a typically melancholic affair! Ooh...and Blue Monday by the marvellousl Fats Domino!
Fair enough! I'd put a strong argument up if you were saying anything against Wilco's A Ghost is Born but it's not on there so I won't! In fact, I played 'Monday' out loud just to listen to it again and my wife (who usually has a great taste in music) walked in and said, incredulously "What the hell is this?!" So you're not alone haha!
Some gems at the end of this! Just listening to the Slow Fiction EP from last year. Another band I’ve not come across before.
You know I love to see what stands out to you, Lou!

I hope the memory was a happy one, Jane. And if not, I hope it wasn't too difficult for you.
That song can be a real trigger.

I thought about adding the Wilco, but I'm not a huge fan and decided another Monday song deserved the slot!

I can respect their talent, I just had too many other bands taking up space in my brain, demanding listens!
Music always lifts my mood. I have two separate playlists both entitled Feel Better for that exact purpose - and they really work!
My favourite Monday song is Monday Morning by Ten Tonnes from the album Dancing, Alone

Great playlist! It’s certainly improved my Monday!
