I actually love it when I can hear the influence of another band in someone’s music. It’s frustrating when you recognise something but can’t get your hands around where you know it from, but it’s extremely satisfying when you can pinpoint it. I think a lot of people need to start being a little less precious about music in general.
LOVE the Thunder Queens cover of Cannonball! I love the forcefulness of the vocals.

You should check out some of their other stuff, if you haven’t already, Lou. That forceful delivery is prominent!
Yeah, I’m on it, don’t worry! 😉
that fat dog album is so good
Agreed! Balancing seeking out new music with actively listening to what I’ve come to love is the hardest part of this “gig.”
I hear this, for sure! There’s so much great stuff that I never truly get into because there aren’t enough hours in the day. You have to prioritise.
Plenty in here that I like! Black Bra, Annie-Dog and I keep meaning to get round to that Fat Dog album!
On that co-ed team, we’ll have to flip a coin for the 13 jersey.
Have a great 13th
