Well, "Toothpaste Kisses" kind of stands out, but I enjoy all of the ones I've listened to. (Also "Precious Time") It's so nice whenever I am introduced to a band I've never heard, that's this good.
I’ve never really given The Maccabees enough listening really. They passed me by at the time and I’ve just never gone back. I’m struck by how representative they are of mid-aughts “indie” bands for want of a better word. They fit in very nicely with the likes of Maximo Park and The Pigeon Detectives. I really enjoyed this selection and particularly liked the last three.
Have you listened to 86TVs at all? It’s a band comprising of Hugo and Felix White, their brother Will and Jamie Morrison from The Stereophonics. They’ve only released a couple of singles so far but I’ve seen them live a couple of times and their music is excellent.
Loved The Maccabees thanks for reminding me I loved toothpaste kisses it was such a good Summer song remember seeing them at Koko in London and was really impressed by their strong harmonies and songwriting !

I've done the same with so many bands. Spoon was one. And Japandroids, who have now become one of my favorite bands!
I definitely need to investigate Japandroids a bit more!
I have a starter list planned, but I'm having a hard time narrowing it to ten songs.
