These are great recommendations, cool to have stumbled across this. All new artists to me but so far I like it all! Thanks for compiling, there’s so much good music out there but not many people sharing it like this.

"Spending too much time on a job I love, for a company that I don’t."

Felt every letter of that! Hope the staycation was great, and it's good to see you back on here! Mixing things up and trying things always makes for a better experience.

Killer playlist, and for once I know more than 1-2 artists. :)

WOOT! I'll just have to work harder to make future playlists more pretentious and hipster. LOL.

I'm sure many of us love what we do while taking issue with the who we do it for. It's never a good feeling.

I feel that "stuck in a rut" thing, A LOT. I just took a nice staycation myself to recalibrate a little. Been back at work for a week and a half and I'm already plotting the next one ;)

I think mixing up posts and themes sounds great. I can't normally read things on a rigid schedule either.

Looking forward to the next round

Thanks for chiming in. And don't worry, I'm not doing away with the Multiple Version Monday shares. They're way too fun.

I'm glad you got some respite and reflection time. I'm on my third day back and already starting to feel MEH again.

Great playlist -- thanks, Mallie! I'm going to dig into Wrest further as this song hits a Snow Patrol vibe that I like (and now I see that they're from Edinburgh, so maybe some Frightened Rabbit, too). I'm glad to be reminded of Charly Bliss, too. I saw them as an opener or early on a festival lineup (can't remember now) before they got signed and had forgotten about them since.

Best of luck with the work stuff. I can relate as I made the rare move of giving up tenure to leave academia -- while I loved my work, I grew to really dislike the institution of higher ed. It was a bumpy transition out, but ten years later, I have no regrets.

Really enjoyed this. Bad Nerves and Gaffa Tape Sandy albums were my standouts from last week. Energy is such a great song!

I also really liked the Charly Bliss track. Will be checking them out for sure.

I agree that mixing it up is a good call. I love all your themes but I think it definitely comes across when someone has real passion and enthusiasm for what they’re sharing and that will always be easier with a less rigid schedule. Looking forward to seeing what comes next!
